  • War Machine

Date: 08.29.2009 | Location: Chicago Beach

This is my best friend. Watch him swim, bike, and run. But don't be fooled by his teddy bear features because underneath his smooth human skin, he is a CYBORG (possibly from the future)!

Not a man. Not a beast. But a machine!!!

    Can you find my leprechaun?

I was waiting around and playing with my camera's settings because I assumed that Brian would take forever to finish the swim, but I was wrong. I was left in the cold while Brian passed me without a peep. (Brian, where are you?)

(Sad that I lost him.) After catching the last swimmer come out of the lake I decided to venture home, but I somehow caught Brian's back. Hi, Brian's back! (Found him.)

    Dude, stop being a showoff!

    Proud of you man!

I'm thinking of buying the Wii Fit to get back into shape. I've developed a "I have a wife and baby" belly, and I need to start looking better for my two ladies. Wish me luck (in robot voice)!

  • Gina and Paul's Commitment

Date: 02.28.2009 | Location: The Stonegate

I can't believe I turned into that "dude" who neglects his blog for several months, and only checks his "footprints" to gauge his dwindling popularity. Instead of keeping up with old promises, can we just sweep the last six months under a rug and start anew? In the spirit of this relaunch, I want to point out the new URL to this blog: www.iBlogGood.com. A different take on an old joke, and an idea "borrowed" from a good friend, Mr. Han. For me, it's part of a six-step program to keep me on the computer and away from enjoying the outside world. Please keep the RSS feed hot and check back often because this blogger is back.

This post is long overdue and I could've passed it over, but my (photography) journey with Gina and Paul needs closure. It started with engagement pictures in downtown Chicago and somehow it ended with me at their wedding as the primary photographer. I must admit I was a little dumbfounded when they first asked, but it was an honour to capture our friends make a truthful commitment in front of friends and family of their love and dedication to each other and Jesus Christ. It was because of Gina and Paul that their wedding was heartfelt and intimate. We heart you two, and wish you both all the best!

Man, I'm back to blogging and I have butterflies. Gina, did you feel the same way on your wedding day?

"Eye see you!", was what I wrote down first, but the comment was very cornea. I feel less of a man for writing that and not deleting it.

I think I'm getting the hang of writing "smart" comments again on all my pictures. I think it's Gina's smile that's keeping me calm.

I can be wrong. Maybe I need to wrestle with my inner-blogging demons first or maybe, I'll always be at war with blogging.

Singing: "Hit me like a ray of sun. Burning through my darkest night. You're the only one that I want. Think I'm addicted to your light." Maybe I need some help because I just quoted Beyonce.

Voom! Mowing down the wedding. Boom! I need to follow suit and mow down this blog.

    20090228.777.Wedding

Are you glad that I'm back?

    Peace out!

    20090228.777.Wedding

    And goodnight!

  • We're Famous

When I redesigned my Xanga blog I planned to write a blog entry once a week, but I've been lagging because my life is a little boring. Instead of sticking with photography as my main topic, I'm going to branch out into game and movie reviews, and also try to share my struggles with setting up a photography business. To kick-off my renewed desire to write more, I want to share with the Internet that my wife and I are famous. No, we're not famous like Brangelina with photographers stalking us in ninja outfits; however, we're on the front cover of our wedding photographer, Bob Davis' new 5" x 4" book.

Straight from the website: "This 5" x 4" book is a small collection of Bob’s favorite images. He shares with you his technical recipe to how each image was created along with a little story from each shoot."

    Not So Secret Sauces

You can learn more about our friends, Bob and Dawn Davis from their website and blog. They have been amazing and very supportive of us; even though this is a small blog I feel honored to have them be part of it. Please go and support our dear friends and also, don't be afraid to come up to us for autographs. We're still humble people and this new fame hasn't gone to our heads, yet. : )

Also, if you're interested in occupying the "open slot" (check out the homepage) for several months, please message me. I'm a giver and a lover, and I would like to help you out!

  • In The Year 2009

A lot went down for us in 2008 and we're relieved that we survived to see another day. Don't get me wrong, last year was full of blessings and a year we will not forget. However, I'm glad 2008 is behind us and I feel renewed for 2009. For starters, we finally shared with our friends and family that we're expecting. It was only seven months ago that I married my high school sweetheart and became a husband. Now in six short months, I'll become a father.

Our little bun in the oven.

    20081227.777.Baby

One of my goals for 2009 is to provide everything I can for our mystery baby to grow up healthy in her/his baby mama's belly. Day dreaming of my baby's health brings back memories of all the nonsense my father advised as I was growing up. One advise my father would constantly share was to eat more of kimchee, spicy pickled cabbage, everyday to keep the doctor away. The way he shared it with me was as religious as the Greek father with Windex in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. If I ever broke a bone, he would probably have scolded me for not eating enough kimchee to strengthen my bones. I would wager my pinky that my father would've smeared my face with kimchee if I ever developed a serious face rash. A "Korean" remedy, but an honest advice to ensure my heath and longevity. I'll be keeping the kimchee jar closed until my baby starts developing a butt rash, but I'm glad to have had such unique fatherly advice to help me prepare to be Superman to my baby.

I have two goals I want to keep in 2009: to be the best daddy for our mystery baby and be an awesome husband to my baby (wife) carrying our baby.

To all my readers, I hope for prosperity for y'all in 2009.
